About me

I wonder what someone would like to know about me? I guess I'm a bit of a nerd still. I spend most nights at home with my 2 cats, and have over the years spent far too much time in front of the computer playing online games. I think I'm a bit of a loner, but luckily I do not mind spending time by myself. I mostly stopped doing that a year or so ago, but haven't come up with anything else to do other than TV and Youtube, so I don't really see that option as being too good either. When not by myself I think I can talk too much sometimes, while at other times not say much at all and only enjoy the company of whomever I'm with.

To keep with what many of the profiles here state they are asking for I'll just add that I do drink on occasion, but do not like to get drunk. On the rare occasions that I have gotten drunk I mostly tend to just fall asleep wherever I happen to be at the time (to others' amusement for some odd reason). There's nothing funny about me falling asleep at the kitchen table at a party, is there? I don't like conflicts and prefer to walk away to avoid them when possible. I would like to think of myself as kind and considerate. I appreciate honesty and prefer hearing the truth even when it may hurt as that is the first step to being able to work through whatever the issue may be.

Since graduating from Uni I have not really done anything other than work during the week and helping my mom and aunt with whatever they needed to get done in the weekends. For my vacations I like to travel somewhere, either by plane or by car. This has mainly been within Europe so far. My newest hobby that I'm trying to get into is photography but time will tell if I catch on to it. I did manage to take some 900 pics or so during my two week holiday to Singapore and KL last Christmas holiday (2019). Singapore botanical gardens was simply magnificent! I like watching cooking shows but cannot say I'm too good at cooking myself. Give me a recipe to follow and I'll be golden, but just winging it without one is a bit of a dead end.

During the beer bug shutdown I have been told to stay home for the past 6 weeks but will return to work in the first wave of starting up next week - and I'm really looking forward to that. 7 weeks of vacation with the ability to travel and do whatever I wanted would have been very nice, but 7 weeks of staying home with nothing concrete to focus on has me climbing up the walls here.

Since travel restrictions etc are likely to be in place for the foreseeable future I'm mainly looking to make friends with someone for now and later on possibly meet up in person if it turns out we 'click' so to speak. Long term I would like to meet someone who will be my best friend always, my trusted adviser (i.e. tell me when and why I'm wrong) and who on occasion will push me to do things a bit outside of my normal comfort zone.

Yikes, but that turned out to be long!

About you

You're in my mind far too young for someone my age, yet still mature enough that we will have things in common and will not get bored of each other. Reasons for the age are that I do not know if I want kids, but if you change my mind on that I'm afraid that biology restricts your age earlier than mine. I also say 'in my mind' as I'm well aware that here noone 10+ years younger than myself would give me a second look (not that I'd probably notice even if they did - I'm blind when it comes to subtlety and such hints I've been told).

The things that catch my eyes are pretty eyes and smiles that melt my heart. Considering I'm 195 cm tall it would also be preferable if you weren't too short.
