Honesty and transparency are absolute must-haves for me. I have two kids — one grown and out living their own life, and one who lives with me full-time (and is only a couple years away from escaping my dad jokes).

I enjoy joking around, puns, and the kind of sarcasm that’s funny but never mean. I can make even the most serious people roll their eyes and smirk. If you don’t like puns, I’ll be stumped and know I’m barking up the wrong tree.

I’m a hands-on, creative guy. I love working with wood, 3D-printing weird ideas into reality, and tackling home improvement projects. On the weekends I'm out walking and exploring hidden spots around the Bay, or enjoying a night in with a good conversation. Sports are usually on in the background while I’m cooking, working around the house, or finding a new way to be “constructive.”

If you like humor, sincerity, and a guy who loves creating things as much as he loves a meaningful connection, we might get along surprisingly well.

About you

I am looking for my next best friend, my soul mate, the person that stands by my side always and supports me in public. She is willing to wait until we get home to tell me how upset I made her.

She wants to take care of me, and let me take care of her.

She wants to be a partnership, not a fellowship

She wants to take on things she's strong at, rather it be cooking, cleaning, organizing, logistics of upcoming events and tasks.

I'm not saying all of those, just what she can do. If she has a job, then great we will figure the above things out together. If she doesn't then that's fine, I will expect her to run the household for the most part. We all will contribute in some fashion.

But above all else, at the very end of each day, and the start of the next day, I want her to be the first and last thing I think of. To be the reason I rushed home every day, the reason I called in sick to work to spend the day with her. She will be my best friend, the first person I tell my news to.

One day we can definitely talk more about our experiences. I think we can give each other some horror stories we didn't realize existed on the other side of the gender.
