Who am I?

I wish I could say I was perfect. I am not. I am a Christian and have been for a long time. I truly love God and I want to live in such a way that glorifies God.

Since I am a Christian, I want to meet a Christian. I want to meet someone that respects the Bible as our guide (Ps 119:105).

I love to pray. I want to meet someone who loves to pray also. There is power in prayer (James 5:16). In most cases, it’s best to stop complaining and just pray.

I love nature. I would love to meet someone that loves nature as well. I love sunrises and sunsets. I love the northern lights. I love to see animals as they do their thing.

I am originally from Texas. However, I have lived in Alaska for a few years and it’s absolutely beautiful here. Of course, I’ve learned to see beauty in every place I’ve been.

Forgive me if I talk about moose too much. I love to see them. I have videos and pictures of a lot of the moose that I’ve seen. They are a magnificent animals.

I love the rain (Acts 14:17). The rain reminds me of God‘s power and his presence in our daily walk. I quote that passage each time I see rain.

I love to exercise but these days I like for the exercise to be normal like walking, hiking, swimming, etc.

I do not believe in divorce, but I am divorced. I believe marriage is for life, but there are two people in a marriage. In my case, the other person decided in the marriage. I believe each partner should work together to overcome any problems or difficulties.

I am not a perfect person, but I strive to be blameless. I’m a forgiving person. I’m the kind of person that will always try to do better in my life. That’s my goal.

First, she is real.

There are a lot of fakes on here. I don’t see how they live with themselves as they seek to scam others out of their information and money, etc.. If you are scamming, please stay away from me.

Second, she is a Christian.

I don’t expect her to be perfect just like I’m not perfect. But I do hope that she will see the Lord in her life.

I am convinced that God is working in our life to make us into the person who wants us to be. So, sometimes God allows us to walk through some difficult he crafts us into a better person.

Third, she is not afraid of hard work. God expects us to work and make a living for ourselves.

Love is a decision….

I don’t know that I believe in love at first sight. I do think that a person can be really attracted to another person. Of course, attraction is not just looks; it may be the way the person talks or how they act around other people. I have even been attracted to the way a person walked.

Every single one of us will get old one day. If you’re not there yet, you will be soon. Look at all the old people that we all know. Our parents. Our neighbors. Our old teachers and employers, etc..

Love is a decision. We decide to love something. Maybe it’s an old car or maybe it’s an old house we give it TLC and it’s because we love it.

So I understand there must be an initial attraction. But then we choose to love that person we make the decision. I will love this person hence the vows that we make when married.
