About me

Welcome to Chapter 1. My name is Mike, I'm 42 and I'm a blue eyed, caucasian. I'm 175cm tall and 88kg. I've lived in the Seattle area most of my life, but recently moved back 3 years ago. I don't have any children, but am at a crossroads in my life where I may want some. Recently got divorced after 13 years.

I work full time or more. Supposedly M-Th 10 hour shifts, but lately it's been M-F 10 hour shifts with occasional Saturdays as well. I spend my weekends watching sports, cooking, browsing on my phone, and/or playing games on the computer.

I used to travel quite often: Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Indiana, Ohio, California, Oregon... and I'm hoping to eventually travel abroad.

When it comes to my health, I enjoy cooking and am interested in starting brazilian jiu jitsu for my exercise. I vape, but am quitting, and rarely drink.

My greatest value that I am trying to live by is to find my own happiness. I am not an active churchgoer, although I do believe something greater than ourselves indeed exists. I generally try and avoid conflict and most disagreements I resolve on my own, internally. I'm most proud of my current income, and am grateful for my 4Runner.

I typically express my love through acts of service (I love cooking!) Communication is important to me, as is trust. You'll know when I trust you because I'll communicate my secrets to you. Although relatively introverted and calm I think I would grow jealous of an extroverted partner who's overly touchy or flirty. I have learned from past relationships that I get intimately attached quickly. Like an addiction. It's great while it lasts, but the honeymoon eventually ends. I've learned it's best to find someone who appreciates you for who you are and encourages you than to have someone that tries to change you and criticizes you.

My financial philosophy is diverse I have a Fair Credit Score with select investments in crypto, stocks, ETF's, Bonds, savings, checking, 401k and a good job. I'm trying to make the most of it while I grind out my eventual retirement.

I am not close to my family. I was placed in foster care at the age of 5, and group homes at 14 until 17. I have a 12-year-old German Shepherd and would like another dog in the future.

I have a dark sense of humor, I find stereotypes and self-degredation hilarious.
