Was considering China, but you have to be a millionaire or marry a Chinese. It takes time to build a relationship, unless you just marry for convenience. I love the Chinese people and culture, but don't trust the CCP.

Was planning on retiring in the Philippines for 13 years, but the cost is too high now for the SRRV visa deposit for me ($15k USD). I can afford it, but not going to pay that much. Plus the laws there that apply only to expats is a turnoff. Their economy is in a nose dive and pollution almost everywhere. Too many targeting the "rich foreigners" with scams also.
