I'm Starting a new chapter in my life...

I am planning to look for a place to retire 2024/early 2025...

My plan is to travel south east Asia later this year.
6-8 months, (but very flexible).

Starting in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, and visiting Penang, Malacca & JB, possibly Labuan for and off-shore structure and gain access to Singapore Banking.

*UPDATE*
MM2H results coming 31st January, hoping to plant a flag in Malaysia for the long term... early news says platinum visa (permanent residency) may cost 1mil euro :/

Then on to Thailand,
starting in Bangkok visiting Chiang Mai & Phuket.

New TAX laws made permanent residency/retirement not a good choice.
so it may be off my short term plan.

Then off To Cambodia,
staring in Phnom Pehn, then Sihanouk vile or Kampot.

currently my top choice, due to CM2H (citizenship/passport by investment)
having the ability to buy and own land as a citizen is a game changer, living there will have to be a choice after visiting.

Vietnam has no retirement visa, so thats off my list sadly, although i may go to see, Da Nang beach front, and fly out through Ho Chi Minh city, to the Philippines.

The long term business visa has become interesting, it may fit into my retirement structure.

Then to the Philippines,
probably starting in the Cebu area, because its quite central and probably a good place to make a home base

I guess i have to see Manila, although i am not a city person... i will probably stay in BGC or Makati for a short time.. and check out the north of the island.

other places of interest include iloilo, Bacolod, Negros, Dumaguete, Bohol, Leyte, before heading to Davao and of course Zamboanga.

I have no set plan, time frame, or agenda, i will see which direction the wind takes me.
all i know is, i wish to see as much as i can of this beautiful country.

The Philippines is still on the list of residency, as its an easy option, but long term investment needs a re-think.

After spending a few months in Philippines, my plan was to go to Indonesia, but as i am too young for their retirement visa... thats out for a few years hahaha

what i have learned about myself in the short time using this Dating site.
i mean no offence, so don't take this personally... but...

1. 'God fearing' - Causes me to stop reading and exit profile.
or 'wanting some one God fearing' i have learned through life experience that religion isn't for me, i am not discriminatory in any way shape or form or judge peoples race, colour, religion, disability or even financial status, i treat everyone as equal, and treat people how i like to be treated myself, thats never going to change, there are good and bad people in life, i just want to avoid bad people, irrespective of status or culture.

2. Filtered photos, photo edits - Instant mistrust. (it's really is easy to see)

3. Wanting or just sending Whatsapp numbers - Red flag - Causes ghosting.

4. (this one is harsh, but honest, sorry)
My plan is retirement and enjoying life, maybe travel the world, or have the ability to relocate without stress, including the freedom to spontaneously travel or holiday. starting a family, or spending the next 10-20 years bringing up children through school, is not really in my plan sorry :/

Over the short time on this site, and researching south east asia
