About me
When I'm not at work as an engineer, I will either lift weights, play video games, or watch a movie/show. Most of my hobbies tend to be lonesome ones, but I have recently joined a Dungeons & Dragons group. My personality tends to be shy at first, but playful after getting to know me. Joking around is a family tradition at this point. The only other thing to mention is that I love medium to large dogs. Some of the things that I enjoy are listed below:
- Family: Of course I love my parents. I include my previous dogs in this category. I miss my dogs and hope they rest in peace.
- Movies: Spy thrillers, science fiction, and comedies are the kinds of movies I enjoy. Some of my favorite are Moon, The Shawshank Redemption, The Invisible Guest, The Bourne Trilogy, and Casino Royale.
- Shows: Similar to my taste in movies and my favorites are the Day of the Jackal, Devs, Dopesick, Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, and many others.
- Anime: Kinda a guilty pleasure of mine. Shows like Terror in Ressonance, Made in the Abyss, Code Geass, Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note, Monster, Steins;Gate, Astra Lost in Space, Ocudama Drive, and many others are entertaining. I will admit, it has been a while since I have been into anime though.
- Video Games: I have way to many of these and tend to like games that I can play by myself. Mass Effect, the Witcher 3, Bioshock, Prey, Age of Empires II, It Takes Two, Split Fiction, and many others I enjoy.
- Exercise: Eh, I'm stronger than most. I like lifting weights because it allows me to vent and it does keep me somewhat healthy. I do need to change my diet though...
- Reading: It has been a while since I have done this. I can enjoy the occasional book like Project Hail Mary. I will either read science fiction or history books, but it is more rare than I care to admit. The last book I read was about a year ago...
- Work: I am an engineer with a PhD who conducts research to publish. I like figuring out problems, but I don't like having to write publications to be honest. My work involves machine learning, atomic modeling, and use of super computers to crunch the numbers.
