About me
I’m Ralf — Danish/French, Bornholm-based (Gudhjem), and very much a “rooted + curious” kind of man. I moved to Bornholm in 2018 and fell hard for the island’s nature, history, and the way community still matters here.
Professionally, I’m a retired economist/financial manager, but retirement didn’t stick. I run my own small company where I help local businesses with accounting, administration, analysis, and planning — I enjoy making complicated things simple and helping good people sleep better at night.
Where you’ll really get to know me, though, is in the social side of my life. I’m the type who gets involved when something needs doing. Since the war began, I’ve helped 200+ Ukrainian refugees on Bornholm (for free) with everything from visas and tax matters to navigating difficult life situations — because if you can help, you should.
I’m also chairman/active in several organisations: our local community house (around 150 members), a home for vulnerable young people aged 13–18, and an organisation that supports women who have been abused or stalked (online crisis support and coordination with police/lawyers).
Family matters to me. I have two adult children and grandchildren, and I’m close with them — my daughter and her three kids even live in the apartment above mine, so life has both quiet moments and the occasional “grandpa, can you fix this?” energy.
What I’m looking for: a woman roughly 38–50 (depending on the person) with maturity, education, warmth, and her own opinions. I’m open-minded about background — if you’re international or newer to Denmark, that’s absolutely fine. I’m well connected locally and happy to share Danish culture and everyday life in a way that feels supportive, equal, and fun.
