Traveler seeking friends and adventure

I've decided to take a break from work and routine and travel far and wide to see where life takes me. I've been traveling for a year, having been all over China and Southeast Asia. I've met interesting people everywhere in my travels and I hope I'll never tire of finding beauty and wonder in every human encounter.

I'm Chinese but lived pretty much my entire life in California. I'm most fluent in English but I can converse in Cantonese and I can get by in Mandarin.

In addition to traveling, I love reading fiction, watching movies, and spending long nights hanging out with great people. I like a good party but I also like things low-key and quiet. I'm pretty open minded and easy-going and I'm usually up for most things. I'm currently in the Guangzhou area for the next few weeks.

I'm pretty open minded, laid back, and respectful about people, so I make friends pretty easily wherever I go. I'm not looking for a long term relationship. Let's learn about life and the world through each other and have fun along the way. If you're just looking for friends, that's fine. I move around a lot, but I'd be happy to know you and would love it if you can show me a bit about your city. I'd also be happy to introduce you to other people I meet along the way.

I'd consider myself pretty thoughtful, intelligent, and independent and I'd prefer to meet someone who is the same. I'd like to be able to carry a conversation so I'd like to meet someone who feels comfortable expressing themselves in English. Maturity and self-confidence is also key. I'm not a hopeless romantic so I tend to get along best with practical, down to earth people. I'm also not much of a materialistic person so I'd like to meet someone who thinks there's much more to life than just shopping.
